Liverpool fans want Alisson saved for their game against Tottenham Hotspur, despite his impending return from injury.
The Athletic claim that the Liverpool keeper is responding well to treatment and could now be fit enough to feature against Fulham.
However, Liverpool fans don’t want to see the £67 million Brazilian (Sky Sports) rushed back.
And they have suggested that Caoimhin Kelleher should retain his place in goal, with Alisson only brought back in for the Spurs game when he has fully recovered.
The reaction is a testament to just how well Kelleher has performed in Liverpool’s goal since being given an opportunity.
Kelleher was thrown in at the deep end by Jurgen Klopp, but he has passed the first-team test with flying colours.
The 22-year-old has not put a foot wrong as he has kept two clean sheets in as many matches for Liverpool over the past week.
Kelleher is expected to be in action again for Liverpool tonight, when they take on FC Midtjylland in the Europa League yesterday.
