Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa fans have reacted to the notable absentees from their 25-man Premier League squad.

The North London club have left out left-back Danny Rose, whilst midfielder Henri Lansbury has made the headlines in the West Midlands.

One thing is for sure, both the Spurs and Villa fans aren’t surprised that their players are in such a situation.

Rose’s game time at Tottenham had stagnated way before Jose Mourinho’s arrival, and judging by the Amazon documentary, his relationship with the outspoken coach didn’t exactly make his situation at the club any better.

Added with that, he hasn’t featured at all this season and the signing of Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid this summer just put the final nail in the coffin in regards to his future at the club.

As for Lansbury, even during Villa’s rise back to the Premier League, he struggled with regular game time because of injury and then the serious amount of competition ahead of him.

Whilst the former Arsenal academy product has featured in League Cup matches this term, he hasn’t played any Premier League minutes.

Some Villa fans did express their surprise at the forward-thinking midfielder not going out on loan when the summer transfer window was open because they now think the best option is to terminate his contract.

In truth, both Rose and Lansbury perhaps have to come to some mutual conclusion when it comes to their contracts because they will now be sitting ducks up until January.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Tottenham and Aston Villa fans reacting to their 25-man squads:
