Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has been a talking point for much of the season, and now it appears those conversations are starting to get more serious.
If he does move on from Anfield, Saudi Arabia is still looking like the most likely destination.
It’s really only clubs in that part of the world that can afford his wages, and there’s plenty of interest from there already.
Liverpool are weighing up their options with Salah, and more fans are starting to accept that this might be his last year at the club.
Reports out of France suggest that even Salah may be preparing for a change, hinting that he too might feel his time at Anfield is coming to an end.
Al-Ittihad start talks with Salah’s agent as his stance changes

Salah was quickly identified by Al-Ittihad as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema following the Frenchman’s departure in January.
Now, it seems that interest is mutual. FootMercato have reported that Salah has allowed his agent to begin discussions with the Saudi club, who are looking to fill the void left by Benzema’s move to Al-Hilal with another high-profile signing.
This time, things seem more genuine, with Salah reportedly ‘much more open’ to the idea than he had been previously. That could be due to his recent form issues at Liverpool.
The club view the signing as a statement addition even at 31 years old, and given how his form has dipped lately, it’s believed this would be a deal that suits everyone involved.
Salah has been one of Liverpool’s greatest players ever, but now could be the right moment for both sides to move on.
Moussa Diaby a logical makeweight if Liverpool cash in on Salah
Former Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby has been looking for a way back to Europe, nearly joining Inter Milan recently. It’s a deal that could benefit both sides.
If Liverpool do decide to move Salah on, asking for the Frenchman as part of the deal makes sense. He produced strong numbers in both Germany and England and still has plenty left at 26.
Even if he isn’t the long-term answer up front, Diaby would be a valuable addition. He’s capable of playing anywhere across the attack and his speed would add some directness that Liverpool have been missing.
With growing signs pointing towards Salah leaving, including these latest reports from France, bringing in Diaby could help take some of the sting out of what will be an emotional goodbye.
