Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has taken to social networking site Twitter to congratulate Nacho Monreal on getting a call-up to the Spain national football team.

Monreal has been called up to the Spain squad for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier against Albania.

This is first time since 2013 that the 30-year-old defender has been called up by Spain.

The former Osasuna man will place Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba – who is injured – in the team.

Cazorla has congratulated his Arsenal teammate Monreal on Twitter on returning to the Spain fold.

The former Malaga star has posted the following message for the left-back on Twitter which when translated from Spanish reads: “You deserve it. I am happy for you. Good luck.”

Monreal is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and is a key member of the Arsenal team.

The Spaniard has been in good form for the Gunners, and he deserves his call-up to the national team.

Arsenal are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from seven matches, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners will face Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League after the international break.

Arsene Wenger’s side will head into the match with confidence and will fancy their chances of picking up all three points in North London.
