The Chilean has been in fine form for Arsenal this season.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal says Alexis Sanchez’s ambition is what makes him great.
The Chilean has been handed a central role as the Gunners first choice striker this season.
He has impressed, to say the least, with 13 goals in all competitions, 11 of which have come in the Premier League.

His performances have earned him rave reviews, with many feeling he is firmly establishing himself among the best in European football.
It is fair to say he has many redeeming qualities but teammate Monreal pinpoints one aspect of the Chile international that has brought him to where he is today.
“What I would say is that it’s his ambition that makes him such a great player,” he told the club’s official website.
“He just wants more at all times and for example, if he gets subbed off when we are winning 3-0, he’s not happy because he wants more, he wants to play more and he wants to keep improving.”
“That’s good for him because he keeps pushing himself and it’s good for the team because it obviously gives us that driving force.”
Arsenal will be hoping that Sanchez’s ambition does not come to haunt them in the future.
The club are currently in negotiations over a new contract with the forward but so far have failed to reach an agreement.
Rumours have suggested that several big European clubs are keen on him should he fail to do so and Arsenal will be hoping that the player’s ambition does not see him push for a move to one of them.
