Leeds United fell to defeat on Saturday afternoon, losing 1-0 at home to Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Whites were looking to bounce back from a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Crawley Town, but fell flat with another disappointing performance.

Neal Maupay’s first half goal proved to be the winner, as a sweeping Brighton attack cut Leeds apart in style.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men just couldn’t get back into the game, and have now lost five of their last eight Premier League games with no goals scored in 2021.

Leeds need to find an answer soon, and ex-Whites winger Sanchez Watt took to Twitter to share his opinion on Luke Ayling’s position.

Ayling has been such a threat at right back throughout Bielsa’s time as Leeds boss, but is currently having to play at centre back with Robin Koch and Diego Llorente out injured.

That somewhat limits Leeds’ play going forward, and Watt – who knows Ayling from the Arsenal setup – tweeted that he wants to see Ayling as a right back again.

Watt feels that Ayling causes ‘many problems’ from that position, playing almost like a winger – and maybe that can help Leeds find their flow going forward again.
