Antonio Sanabria is finally finding form in Spain a year after snubbing Tottenham for Real Betis.

As they sought to buy back up for Harry Kane last summer, Tottenham took a gamble by signing just one striker, Vincent Janssen.
The Dutchman has struggled, as can happen often with players arriving from foreign leagues, and Spurs have been reliant once again on Kane.
A smarter move would have been to buy two strikers, increasing the cover available and enhancing their chances of solving the problem.
This almost happened, with Spurs showing a strong interest in Roma striker Antonio Sanabria last summer, The Sun reported.

Tottenham had an offer accepted by the Serie A side, only for the Paraguayan to elect to return to Spain and sign with Real Betis, having played previously with Barcelona and on loan at Sporting Gijon last season.
Sanabria could have been just third choice at Tottenham and his reasoning that he wanted to play was understandable, even if it meant sacrificing potential Champions League action.
For months Sanabria’s snub had seemed like a blessing for Tottenham, with the striker struggling for goals.
With Janssen struggling himself, Spurs potentially avoided double the problem, except now he is finally finding his scoring boots, perhaps aided by a change of manager at the Spanish club with ex-Sunderland Gus Poyet axed.
Sanabria has three goals in his last four games, including a goal at the weekend against Real Madrid.
Tottenham’s situation is under the spotlight due to an injury to top scorer Harry Kane, and they could certainly do with a striker in hot form right now like Sanabria.
