Leeds new boy has ‘unveiled himself’.
Love it or hate it, one of the trends of this summer’s transfer window has been for teams to unveil their signings in creative ways.
Leeds United are getting in on the act, ending their lengthy pursuit of Samu Saiz with the player unveiling himself.
Elland Road
The club posted a video on the club’s Twitter feed, filmed in first person of a mystery player walking into Elland Road, and watching Caleb Ekuban put pen to paper on his deal.
The camera then spins around to Saiz, who says simply, “I’m next.”
He goes on to add: “I’m very happy to be here. Marching on together.”
Saiz signs from Spanish second division side Huesca, who he fired into the play-offs last season, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists.
He has signed a four-year deal with the Championship side and will head out with the team on their pre-season tour of Austria.
He may not be the only player announced by Leeds today, with Swiss news outlet RSI Sport reporting winger Ezgjan Alioski is flying to England to take a medical.
