According to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb, Serie A side Sampdoria are keen to sign Sassuolo forward, Diego Falcinelli, in the summer transfer window.
The report adds that La Samp are lining up an opening bid in the region of €10 million (£8.8 million) for the 25-year-old forward, who spent the whole of last season on loan at Crotone.
The striker enjoyed a brilliant 2016/17 campaign where he scored 13 goals for the Serie A side that narrowly escaped relegation and finished two points above the drop zone.
The 25-year-old has flourished being the main striker upfront, and he is keen to find a permanent home next season.
Last month, The Sun reported that Falcinelli is open to trying his luck in the Premier League, with Everton leading the race to sign him.

The Toffees have extensively scouted the player last season and are ready to move for him this summer.
Everton could be without Romelu Lukaku, who has decided not to commit his long term future at Goodison Park, for next season, while Gerard Deulofeu is also set to depart.
However, as it stands, Sampdoria have made the first move, and Everton should act quickly if they are serious about signing the Italian striker.
