Reports suggest that Samir Nasri wants to stay in Spain beyond the end of the season.
According to The Sun, Samir Nasri wants to leave Manchester City and make his move to La Liga side Sevilla permanent.
The former French international would like to extend his stay in Spain after enjoying a great start to life with the La Liga outfit.
The 29-year-old has been in scintillating form this season since moving on loan to the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Nasri has quickly become a stalwart in Jorge Sampaoli’s side – who currently sit second in the league table – and has scored three goals in eight appearances.
His contract at City expires in the summer of 2019 but Nasri is reportedly now keen to remain with Sevilla beyond his initial loan spell, even though he would have to take a pay cut on his £130,000 wages.
“City are keen to discuss the situation. The two clubs have a good relationship,” a Manchester City source said via the Sun.
“They have had dealings with Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo. Samir is having a great time and loving the lifestyle.”
Any future deal would depend on Sevilla’s willingness to pay the asking price of £12 million that City are understood to want for the player, who has two years to run on his contract.
