West Ham United snapped up the Frenchman on Monday.

Samir Nasri has told West Ham United’s official website that he cannot wait to work under the ‘genius’ that is Manuel Pellegrini again.

West Ham announced on Monday that they had signed the former France international on a deal until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old scored seven and set up seven during the 2013-14 campaign in helping Pellegrini’s Manchester City side to the Premier League title.

City scored over 100 goals in the league that season, and Nasri is delighted to have been given the chance to play under the West Ham manager again.

He told the Irons’ official website: “I love his philosophy and the way he thinks about football. The guy is a genius. He thinks a lot about everything and he has that mentality about football, and we share the same mentality.

“Everywhere he went, all his teams played really good football. At Villarreal it was the case, and at Malaga as well. At Manchester City, we were the fastest team to 100 goals. He is a really good manager who plays attractive football’ offensive football. I’m really happy to be playing in his team.”

Simply put, Nasri could be quite a coup for the East Londoners. There have long been questions over his attitude, but never his talent.

The former Arsenal winger is a class act as far as football goes and if Pellegrini can get him playing again, West Ham could be big, big winners.
