Samir Nasri better at Manchester City than Arsenal?

Nasri has been the brunt of much criticism this year, but he could yet have the last laugh.

If Manchester City come out on top in the race for the title, Samir Nasri will be one of the most satisfied men in football.

When he left Arsenal he said it was to win trophies, but Gunners fans who were so upset to leave him claimed it was simply all about the money.

He made an immediate impact on his debut, helping City to a stunning 5-1 win over Spurs, but early on appeared to very much play second fiddle to David Silva.

As the season has gone on he has grown into his role at his new club, and it could be argued that he has in fact been more effective.

Take this statistic-

At Arsenal last season, Nasri was involved in 11 league goals, scoring 10 and assisting just one.

At City this season so far, Nasri has been involved in 14 league goals, scoring five and assisting nine.

So while he has scored less, he has actually been more productive, and more of a team player.

Indeed many of his goals at Arsenal were moments of sublime individual skill, his two goals against Fulham for example.

At City he is finishing the season strongly, as opposed to how he trailed off at Arsenal last year, and has scored important goals against Tottenham, Chelsea, and last weekend, Wolves.

The statistics show that Nasri could argue that he has become a better, more-rounded player at Manchester City than he was at Arsenal, even though his goal tally is fewer, his job is as much to create them as it is to score them.

It may be a view that Arsenal fans disagree with, that Nasri has become a better player at City, but his output and the statistics do not lie.

If he wins the title, or has a telling impact in the Manchester derby, it may just become indisputable.

What do you think- Has Nasri improved at City?
