Samir Memisevic says that Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have made contact.

Memisevic is out of contract at Groningen at the end of the season, and the central defender has revealed that the Hoops are interested in him.
The 25-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international centre-back, though, has made it clear that he has not yet made a decision on his future.
The former Radnik Bijeljina star has also claimed that Celtic are not the only club who are interested in securing his services in the January transfer window.
Memisevic told The Daily Record: “As far as Celtic is concerned, there was contact. However, there is still nothing concrete been offered. So for the moment it’s just talk.
“But there are a lot of other clubs interested too because my contract expires soon. Groningen want to extend my contract and have offered me a new three-year deal.”

Good signing for Celtic?
Memisevic is a good defender, and the 25-year-old will be a smart signing for Celtic in the summer transfer window.
Although the Hoops are not short in the central defence department at the moment, Celtic could need a centre-back if Dedryck Boyata leaves.
Boyata is out of contract at Celtic next summer, and the Hoops could decide to cash in on the Belgium international central defender should offers come in for him.
Celtic need to be proactive in terms of signing a central defender, and Memisevic would be a decent addition to Brendan Rodgers’s squad.
