Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after Georginio Wijnaldum admitted that he’s not completely happy with life at PSG after joining the Ligue 1 side this summer.
Wijnaldum refused to sign a new Liverpool contract, instead opting to ditch Anfield for the Parc Des Princes, but it seems as though things aren’t going to plan for the 30-year-old so far.
Wijnaldum simply isn’t playing as much football as he’d hoped to. He’s played just 426 league minutes so far this season while he’s appeared in just a further 58 in the Champions League.
Liverpool fans understandably had plenty to say about this update, but rather than sympathising with their former player, Reds supporters were rather smug after seeing his big move hasn’t worked out.
To be honest, we can understand why. Wijnaldum left Liverpool when he had the chance to stay, and in the eyes of some fans, he would have been better off staying on Merseyside.
