Having impressed while on trial and with Tommy Elphick set to leave, will Aston Villa give Chris Samba a permanent contract.
It is becoming increasingly probable that Chris Samba will be given a permanent contract at Aston Villa as the defender continues to impress while on trial.
Samba has played twice for the Villans in friendlies so far this summer, helping them to clean-sheets in both outings and generally looking assured at the back.

The 33-year-old played alongside both John Terry and James Chester in the last game – a 0-0 draw with Walsall – and looked comfortable alongside both of manager Steve Bruce’s first choice centre-backs.
However, the Birmingham Mail outlines that Bruce needs to move on some of his current squad before he can give Samba a deal.
There could be progress in that department, though, with Sky Sports reporting that both Birmingham City and Sunderland are interested in signing Tommy Elphick. The Birmingham Mail believes the Blues are his likely destination.
According to the Telegraph, fellow central defender Micah Richards is also on the unwanted list, so if he were sold too there would be no reason why Samba could not become a permanent fixture.
