Winnall moved from Sheffield Wednesday to Derby County on loan last summer.

Sam Winnall has again hinted that he wants to return to Derby County after his loan from Sheffield Wednesday.
Winnall moved to Derby on a temporary basis last August, trading places with Rams midfielder Jacob Butterfield.

And the striker has proved a popular recruit, scoring six goals and creating two in 17 league games before having his season curtailed by cruciate ligament damage in February.
Despite being under contract for another two years at Wednesday, Winnall has been undergoing rehabilitation at Derby and removed any mention of the Owls from his social media profiles.
And when asked for an update on his future by BBC Radio Derby on Friday, the 27-year-old said: “Unfortunately I can’t even think about that right now. I just have to concentrate every day on getting back fit.

“I think I’ve made it quite obvious where I want my future to be. But sometimes that’s out of my control. So all I can do is just keep working hard and make sure when I do come back fit I’m strong and I’m in a good place.”
Winnall’s cause could be aided by Wednesday’s financial situation, which is likely to require sales being sanctioned this summer.
However, much will perhaps depend on how quickly the former Barnsley striker can recover from his injury, which could eat into next season.
Is Winnall’s transfer from Sheffield Wednesday to Derby County now inevitable?
