Aston Villa are said to be keen to bring in the striker from Southampton.

Gallagher is set to be made available by Southampton on loan, with Villa keen on taking the striker.
And, given their current predicament, Gallagher is surely the best signing Steve Bruce’s side could have hoped for.

Gallagher may not yet be a deadly striker at Championship level, but he has proven he can score goals in the second tier.
The 22-year-old netted seven goals in 30 appearances as an out and out striker for Birmingham City last season, and while that is far from an outstanding record, his spell with the Blues should have helped him develop.
Gallagher is still a very highly regarded prospect, and if Bruce could bring the best out of him, he could be a valuable asset to Villa.

Gallagher has pace, power and is a strong finisher when in on goal.
And Villa surely cannot expect any better than a striker like Gallagher, given their current financial plight.
