The West Ham United right-back is impressed with the club’s new signings this summer.

Hammers full-back Sam Byram spoke exclusively to the club’s official website regarding the upcoming Premier League campaign, and shared how he and his teammates are aiming to finish inside the top half of the table.

West Ham were woeful for the majority of last term’s campaign, but still somehow managed to finish in 11th position in the table.

The east London outfit will absolutely have to improve upon that this time around, however, after making some exciting acquisitions this summer.

The additions of Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez have just been supplemented by the signing of talented teenager Sead Haksabanovic.

With all five of those names being established international stars, Hammers fans could be forgiven for expecting their side to push for the Europa League spots this season.

Bryram, though, has a more pragmatic view, and told WHUFC.com how a top half finish is the target for his team this term:

“I think the signings we’ve made show the ambition of the Club. We’ve got a great squad and we’ll definitely be looking to finish in the top half of the table and see how well we can do.”

West Ham kick off their campaign with a trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on Sunday, and they will need all of their new faces to be at their very best, if they are to leave the Theatre of Dreams with anything to show for their efforts.
