Sam Byram seems to be enjoying himself at West Ham United.
West Ham United defender Sam Byram has suggested on the club’s official website that the way the team play suits him.
Byram, who can operate as a right-back or as a right-winger, joined West Ham in January 2016.
According to The Independent, the Hammers had to pay Championship club Leeds United a transfer fee of £3.7 million in order to secure the services of the 23-year-old.
The Englishman has had injury problems at West Ham, but he has suggested that the way the team play under manager Slaven Bilic suits him.
“I like to get forward and express myself, obviously there are things I can improve on and I’ll keep working on everything and kick on from there,” Byram told West Ham’s official website.
“You see the way we play with the two midfielders sitting and the full-backs high and wide and it does suit me down to a tee. I just need to keep going and see where I can help out.”
Byram is a very good right-back who knows how to defend and attack. The 23-year-old is one of the brightest young players in England, and he is only going to improve.
Bilic is an attack-minded manager, and it seems that Byram is enjoying his football under him.
West Ham are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with 33 points from 29 matches.
