Tottenham Hotspur won’t play at their new stadium until February, according to reports.

Sam Allardyce has told talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show [13/12/2018] that Mauricio Pochettino should ask Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy for the team to remain at Wembley for the duration of the 2018-19 campaign.
The Daily Mail reported this morning that Tottenham are now unlikely to move into their new stadium before February following yet another delay.
Spurs released a statement on Wednesday revealing that their home game with Manchester United on January 13 will have to take place at Wembley, where Pochettino’s side have been playing their home games for the past 18 months.
The Lilywhites originally struggled to hit their best form last season and wound up dropping 14 points from their Premier League games at Wembley, having gone through the entire 2016-17 campaign unbeaten at White Hart Lane.
And Allardyce reckons that even more unfamiliarity in their new stadium could cause Tottenham – who are expected to host Champions League knockout ties at their £850 million arena – to endure a tricky second half of the campaign.
He told talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show: “If I was Mauricio I’d say to Daniel Levy that I don’t want to move from Wembley until next season.
“It’s all brand new [the new stadium] and the familiarity is missing. Spurs suffered badly when they started playing at Wembley.
“Now they’ve come to terms with it but they’ll face the same problems and could well suffer heavily. I think Mauricio has to be strong and say to Daniel Levy that I want to stay at Wembley.”
