Everton defender Luke Garbutt has not played for the first-team since 2015.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed to the Liverpool Echo that Luke Garbutt needs to leave Everton.
Garbutt was once considered one of the Toffees’ brightest prospects, but he has failed to break into their side over recent years.
Garbutt has not played for the Toffees since 2015, and his loan spells away from the club have not been particularly successful.
And Allardyce now has suggested that the left-back should be looking to move elsewhere for the good of his career.

“He’s had a difficult time here and, personally, Luke Garbutt’s future is elsewhere,” Allardyce said.
“I don’t think there is any doubt about that, based on what we’ve seen that he needs to be looking to move away from the football club and resurrect his career somewhere else because it’s not only me who hasn’t played him, it’s Ronald and, at the back end, Roberto.
“So his future is somewhere else and when a player has been languishing as long as he has…he would be out on loan if someone had asked for him and unfortunately for us, no-one asked for him on loan.”

Everton’s left-back options have not been plentiful this season, so it is rather damning that Garbutt has not got any game time this term.
Cuco Martina was favoured over him, out of position, while Leighton Baines was out injured.
If Garbutt does leave this summer, it seems likely that he will have to take a step down the divisions.
The youngster’s only taste of action recently has come in Everton’s development side.
