Newcastle United have failed to win either of their first two matches under Steve Bruce.

Steve Bruce has started badly at Newcastle and come in for fierce criticism, after losing both his first two matches.
Newcastle’s were waiting until November for their first win in the Premier League last season though.
And Allardyce has questioned why Newcastle supporters were not given Rafael Benitez the same amount of criticism.
He said: “If Steve is getting some stick now, where was the stick for Rafa then?”
What Allardyce seems to have failed to realise is that by that point Benitez had earned the trust of the Newcastle supporters.
Benitez’s past record at St. James’ Park and beyond had meant that Newcastle fans had faith in him to turn things around.

Newcastle went on to comfortably finish in mid-table last term, but there are doubts over whether they will be able to survive this season already forming.
Bruce was hardly a popular appointment when he first came to Newcastle, and his bad start has only increased the frustration around his arrival.
Newcastle are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Tottenham Hotspur.
