Everton’s Sam Allardyce praises Jonjoe Kenny and labels him outstanding.

Speaking to Everton’s official website, Sam Allardyce has praised the “outstanding” Jonjoe Kenny.
The 20-year-old’s emergence has been a rare positive in a season littered with negatives for Everton and the young right-back looks like keeping his place under Allardyce.
Kenny started the 4-0 win over West Ham in midweek as Allardyce watched on from the stands ahead of taking charge, and the 61-year-old included him in the first XI for Saturday’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield.

It looks like the youngster might be the latest big talent to come out of the Toffees’ famed academy and the new boss admits that he’s a big fan.
“I think Jonjoe is an outstanding young man at full-back, I think his choice of ball possession is first-class for a young man, his defending is excellent,” he told Everton’s official site.

“And you look at our defending today from our back four and goalkeeper and they’ve given us the platform to win the game.”
It remains to be seen when Seamus Coleman will return from injury following the horrific leg break which has kept him sidelined since March, but it’s surely comforting for Everton fans to know that he might have to win his place back, rather than be given it on reputation, if Kenny continues to impress.
