West Bromwich Albion boss Sam Allardyce has said that the fact Arsenal could bring a player of Willian’s quality on off the bench against his side at the weekend proved the difference in class between the two sides.
Speaking to West Brom’s official Youtube channel, Allardyce claimed that Arsenal simply have more quality than his side, which showed on the pitch on Saturday evening.
Arsenal ran out 4-0 winners at the Hawthorns, as they coasted to the three points.
And Allardyce felt that his side just could not compete with Mikel Arteta’s squad’s quality.
“Arsenal are better than we are, aren’t they? They’ve only got about £200 million worth of player and some great youngsters to boot,” Allardyce said.
“Willian who came on has been transferred for over £100 million in his career. Our biggest buy is £15 million, so you can see the difference in spending power and quality that can bring you.”

Arsenal’s display against West Brom was arguably their best of the season so far.
The Gunners had struggled in the early part of the campaign, but they have now collected three wins on the spin and confidence seems to be flooding back.
Arsenal’s win over West Brom was a stylish one, with some of their combination play very eye catching.
The introduction of Emile Smith Rowe combined with Alexandre Lacazette’s return to form has made Arsenal a much more dangerous attacking threat, and they have finally started to climb the table now.
