The Leeds United boss famously sits on a bucket this season.

Sam Allardyce has told talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show [22/01/2019] that he isn’t sold on Marcelo Bielsa’s choice of seat at Leeds United.
Bielsa made headlines and raised eyebrows earlier this season when he elected to sit on a large blue bucket in the dugout, which he does on a regular basis.
The idea behind it is to give the renowned Argentine a better view, particularly from the dugout at Elland Road where the benches are lower than the level of the pitch.
It remains to be seen whether it’s key to Bielsa’s coaching or one of the reasons why his nickname is El Loco – the crazy one – but veteran manager Allardyce certainly doesn’t see the sense.
He told talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show [22/01/2019]: “I preferred to be sat in the stands as much as I could.
“There’s a lot of people who find that’s the wrong thing to do in our country for some reason. I wouldn’t sit on something like that at all. I’d sooner stand up. On a lower level it’s less of an advantage because you see less. All you see is 22 pairs of legs.
After sitting on a replica version in the studio, Allardyce added: “It’s a no.”
Considering the Whites are top of the Championship and four points clear of third-placed West Brom, you could argue that there is method in Bielsa’s madness.
The bucket might not be all that significant in Leeds’ form, but it’s clearly something that the 63-year-old is a fan of doing. Providing Bielsa continues doing whatever it is that has United playing brilliantly this season, that’s all that matters.
