Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are both competing for promotion from the Championship.

Wolves currently lead the way in the Championship, after making a blistering start to the new campaign.
Nuno’s side have won 11 of their first 16 league matches, and they have played some scintillating football over that time.
Allardyce now believes that Wolves have the capabilities to make it to the Premier League, but he expects Villa to push them hard.

“I think so. You’ve seen Huddersfield and Burnley go up, and Wolves can certainly do it,” Allardyce said.
“There’s big competition with Villa, with Steve Bruce there.”
Villa are currently in sixth place in the Championship table, and sit nine points behind Wolves.
Nuno’s side actually played Villa off the park when the two sides met at Molineux recently.

However, despite their defeat to Wolves, Bruce’s side have been in excellent form of late – and have begun to start climbing up the second tier standings.
Villa are next in action in two weekends’ time with a match against Queens Park Rangers, while Wolves take on Reading.
