West Ham United have been linked with a move for Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu, with Slaven BIlic impressed by the Spanish winger.

According to the Daily Star, West Ham United are set to launch a bid for Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu this summer.

Slaven Bilic believes that the Spaniard could enhance the quality of his West Ham team, and could be available for transfer.

Deulofeu has been loaned out by Everton to AC Milan this season, and his future at Goodison Park is in serious doubt.

West Ham are said to be eager to bring the 23-year-old to the London Stadium, and Bilic is not the first Hammers manager to feel that the winger would make a good addition.

Back in 2013, when Sam Allardyce was in charge, he also tried to sign Deulofeu from Barcelona.

“Look, for example, how patient Everton have been with Gerard Deulofeu,” Allardyce said to the London Evening Standard, three years ago.

“He was, in fact, due to come to us on loan from Barcelona but because of Roberto Martinez’s Spanish connections, he chose Everton. They, in turn, have been careful with him and only now is he making a few headlines.”

If West Ham are to sign Deulofeu, they will have some fierce competition for his signature.

Both Barcelona and AC Milan have been linked with Deulofeu of late, after his impressive recent form.
