Everton ran out 2-1 winners over Leicester City last night, but Oumar Niasse failed to get on the scoresheet.

Everton ran out as 2-1 winners over Leicester yesterday, but things could have been better for the Merseyside outfit had they been more ruthless.
Everton were guilty of missing a number of good chances in the contest, with Niasse being particularly wasteful.

The Senegalese international’s best chance came in the first-half, when the ball fell to him six yards out, but he dragged a left-footed shot wide.
And Allardyce was shocked to see Niasse miss, as he is usually so reliable in front of goal.
The Toffees boss said: “Oumar Niasse could have scored a hat-trick today. That’s how many chances, and good chances, we created today.
“Oumar doesn’t miss many chances, not only on the pitch but also in training and that’s quite unusual for him to miss so many.”

In the end Niasse’s misses were not important, as Everton went on to claim the three points.
Everton scored both their goals in the contest through Theo Walcott, who has made a fine start to life at Goodison Park, since signing from Arsenal.
Everton’s victory over Leicester has moved them up to ninth in the Premier League table.
