Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after The Times linked them with a move for Villarreal defender Pau Torres.
Despite the fact Cristian Romero has already signed, Tottenham seem to be in the market for at least one more defender, with Torres and Takehiro Tomiyasu now linked.
Spurs fans are certainly on board with this signing, and it’s not hard to understand why.
Indeed, Torres is a fantastic centre-half, he was one of the stars of Spain’s Euro 2020 campaign, and he’s a Europa League winner.
Standing at 6 ft 4, Torres would certainly add a big presence to Tottenham’s backline, and with Romero already through the door, Spurs supporters are certainly excited by the idea of the Spaniard coming in.
A couple of fans expressed that they were keen to see Romero and Torres link up in north London, and we have to say that they would make for a formidable pairing.
