John Salako has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Crystal Palace’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

Palace suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham away from home at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Son Heung-min’s goal in the 64th minute proved to be the difference between the two London rivals.

Former Palace midfielder Salako was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.

The 48-year-old has praised the performance of the Eagles, and has underlined the fact that Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga was the best player on the pitch.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper, who joined Tottenham in the summer transfer window after leaving Southampton, made a number of important saves over the course of the 90 minutes.

Ex-Tottenham defender Gary Stevens has also praised Gazzaniga on Twitter, while former Spurs goalkeeper Ray Clemence has stated on the social networking site that it was not a pretty win for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
