Tottenham star’s goal against Liverpool has been awarded goal of the month.

Victor Wanyama scored what may turn out to be a goal of a lifetime when he struck a rocket of a shot against Liverpool last month.
The Kenyan had just come off the bench when he blasted an unstoppable effort from 35 yards out which gave goalkeeper Loris Karius no chance.
It sparked a frenetic finish to a game which ended 2-2, when at one point it had looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw.
Wanyama’s strike has earned him the Premier League’s goal of the month award, which was announced earlier today.
Wanyama’s goal was memorable, and a real rarity where he is concerned, but fans of the team he conceded against are sceptical whether he should have landed the award.
Liverpool supporters felt Mohamed Salah’s goal in the same game against Tottenham was good enough to top Wanyama’s rocket.

Salah had jinked through the Tottenham defence and then clipped the ball past a helpless Hugo Lloris, a goal he hoped would be the winner before Harry Kane’s controversial late penalty.
Here is a look at how Liverpool fans reacted to Wanyama’s award…
