Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted footage of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané reacting to their FIFA 22 ratings.
What’s the story?
Well, the Reds uploaded a behind-the-scenes video from inside the AXA Training Centre on the day of FIFA 22’s launch.
Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk are tasked with presenting Salah and Mane with their FIFA 22 cards, and they’re not happy.
The Egypt international had a 90-rated card on FIFA 21, and proceeded to score 31 goals in 51 games for Liverpool last season.
For some reason, Salah then received an 89-rated card for FIFA 22.
In Mane’s case, he was also deducted one rating, again going down from 90 to 89.
When Van Dijk presents him with the card, he informs EA Sports that he is ‘not happy’ with their decision.
Are EA Sports watching Mohamed Salah at Liverpool?
We’re absolutely baffled that EA Sports decided to reduce Salah’s rating.
With Mane, it makes sense. The Senegal international was quite poor last season, and looked a shadow of himself at Anfield.
However, Salah was arguably in the top five players across Europe for last season – few players scored more than his 31 strikes.
Liverpool’s No.11 just seems to be getting better and better as well – he should at least be rated 91 for FIFA 22.
Salah even references his goal tally in the video, and jokingly asks EA Sports if they will increase his rating should he score less goals this term!
