Sunderland need to bring in new faces in January.
Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho
Sunderland are already looking like the favourites for relegation in the Premier League. The Black Cats are on just two points after ten Premier League games and it looks like yet again they will be in a relegation battle.
Sunderland will need to bring in new faces in January if they are to have any chance of staying u and they will need to be of a high quality.
However, not many players will be wishing to join Sunderland permanently, with their current relegation concerns.
The defence needs to be improved and two French international defenders should be on Sunderland’s radar.
Norwich’s Robbie Brady in action with Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is not expected to have a long-term future at Anfield and needs regular football. He has settled in England and the task of keeping Sunderland in the Premier League will surely appeal to his competitive nature.
The other man they should consider is Kurt Zouma. He has been out of action long-term with a knee injury for Chelsea. The 22-year-old will then be looking for first-team football after his comeback and Sunderland might be able to offer him that.
If Sunderland are to make a serious fight at staying in the Premier League, then this is the calibre of player they need to target.
