Saka lauds ‘unbelievable’ Bellingham display for England vs. Senegal

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka was full of praise for Jude Bellingham last night as the 19-year-old midfielder stole the show for England in their 3-0 win against Senegal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking to ITV, the Premier League winger gushed over his England teammate as Bellingham played arguably his best international game yet for the Three Lions, with the midfielder running the show against Senegal as England ran away comfortable victors in the round of 16 clash.

With the win setting up an enticing encounter with France, Bellingham has hit form at the perfect time, with Saka also capping his return into the XI with his third goal of the World Cup, and Liverpool would have been for sure taking note of the Borussia Dortmund star’s display against Senegal.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been heavily linked with a move for Bellingham, with the latest reports from Sport claiming that the midfielder is available for €150m (£130m). Yet after performances like this at the World Cup, Dortmund are seemingly well within their right to name such a high price for the midfielder.

And Saka seems to be caught up in the hype around the teenager too, with the Arsenal man full of praise for Bellingham as the youngsters played a huge role in England booking their ticket to the World Cup quarter-finals, where France will await them in the next round.

Saka said when asked about Bellingham’s performance against Senegal: “I always say he’s the future but he’s the present as well. He’s unbelievable, he was everywhere tonight and he was everywhere in the previous three games. I just hope he can keep it up.”

Bellingham has comfortably been England’s best player at the World Cup this winter, yet the midfielder’s performance against Senegal could have easily raised the youngster’s value even higher, much to the dismay of Liverpool heading into 2023.

Indeed, the teenager ran the show for England on Sunday night, and with interest only growing for Bellingham, Dortmund could run wild with their new transfer valuation for the 19-year-old based on just how good the youngster has been out in Qatar.
