Brentford star Said Benrahma has told the Daily Mail that he is ‘really flattered’ by the interest in his signature.
Benrahma, 24, has arguably been the top player in the Championship this season, proving himself to be capable of playing at a higher level.
The Algerian winger has racked up 17 goals and nine goals in 42 league games for Brentford this season, putting them in the mix for promotion.
Brentford’s automatic fate will be sealed tonight as the Championship season comes to an end, but Benrahma may be in the top flight no matter what happens.
The Mail’s report states that Arsenal and Chelsea are particularly interested in signing Benrahma, and note that Leeds United are entering the race.
Reports from Le Buteur in Benrahma’s native Algeria on Monday suggested that Leeds are ready to offer €26million (£23.5million) – a club-record fee for the Whites – to try and land Benrahma.
That would be a huge coup for Leeds and a major addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s attack, but Benrahma isn’t really thinking about a move just yet.

Benrahma has admitted that the major interest in him is really flattering, but he wants to try and win promotion with Brentford as they have given him so much confidence in his two years at the club.
“I was really flattered,” said Benrahma. “But I’m so focused on trying to get promotion with Brentford that I don’t want to pay too much attention. But, of course, it is giving me confidence.”
“My progression is due to Brentford, they have given me a lot of confidence. I was not very confident when I was at Nice but now I am. It’s thanks to Brentford. So I’m going to fight to help take Brentford to the next step,” he added.
