Liverpool look to have yet another gem on their hands.
Liverpool player Sadio Mane has been speaking about his young teammate Ben Woodburn, with his comments published by the Daily Express.
Woodburn became the Reds’ youngest ever goal-scorer when he found the net in the EFL Cup quarter-final against Leeds United on Tuesday evening, and the praise has flooded in ever since.

The 17-year-old was already generating plenty of buzz among Liverpool fans after impressing during pre-season, and Mane feels the future is exceptionally bright for the latest in a long line of Anfield academy graduates.
“He is a very good player and has a very good future,” Mane told the Express. “I hope he will keep going and working hard and I think he will be a great player.”

Woodburn is predominantly a left winger although he can also operate on the opposite flank or as an attacking midfielder if required, and it will be interesting to see how Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp uses him between now and the end of the campaign.
Fans will be desperate to see more of the player. However his boss will know how important it is to keep things in perspective and ensure Woodburn develops at his own rate.
If he becomes anywhere close to the player Mane is, Liverpool and their supporters are in for a treat.
