The Senegalese winger won his second career major honour this week as his country triumphed at the African Cup of Nations, and after the game, it was easy to see just how overjoyed Sarr was with the victory.
Sarr has long been linked with a move to a big club, and perhaps this taste of success will make him even more hungry for more in the future.
With all due respect to Watford, they aren’t likely to be competing for major honours anytime soon, and with Sarr now being a continental champion with Senegal, just like Lebron James and Senna, he may become hooked on winning.
If that is the case, the ‘frightening’ attacker may soon be looking for a way out of Watford, and if reports are to be believed, there’s one major club that have been keen on the winger for quite some time.
Indeed, Liverpool are reportedly massive fans of Sarr, and if the Hornets’ star man is looking to scratch his silverware itch, then Anfield could be an appealing destination for him.
Ironically, it was Sadio Mane’s Player of the Tournament performances that took Senegal to the title, and it was his decisive penalty that sealed the victory.
Mane’s heroics may have given Sarr the winning bug, and that could eventually see him edge closer to this long-rumoured move to Liverpool.
