Well, it looks like Mohamed Elneny might finally be leaving Arsenal.

The Egypt international is barely even a squad player at Arsenal these days.

So far this season, the 29-year-old midfielder has managed only 44 minutes of Premier League football.

And according to Sporx in Turkey, Galatasaray are keen on getting him in January.

Not only that, but the report even claims that the Arsenal man has agreed a deal in principle to join the Turkish giants.

Despite being a low-profile player in Mikel Arteta’s squad, fans of the North London club have always valued his attitude and commitment.

Remember, Elneny looked absolutely finished at the Emirates Stadium during Unai Emery’s reign and fought his way back to have a good season under Arteta last term.

Here’s how some fans have reacted to the prospect of him going in January:

Time to go

Despite his popularity, it’s definitely time for Elneny to move on.

The former Basel midfielder joined Arsenal under Arsene Wenger in 2016 but it’s fair to say that he’s never been a huge player at the Emirates.

And with his contract expiring next summer, there’s just no chance of him getting another one.

Even if Arteta does surprise him with one, signing one would be criminal.

Elneny, who earns over £200,000 per month, turns 30 next summer and at this stage of his career, with a lot of money presumably in the bank, he should focus on first-team football somewhere.

And he just won’t get that at Arsenal.
