Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing what José Mourinho uploaded to Instagram earlier today.
The 58-year-old posted a photo of himself shielding the ball from Steven Gerrard, on the seventh anniversary of his slip at Anfield.
Mourinho’s Chelsea side ruined Liverpool’s hopes of securing the Premier League title under Brendan Rodgers on this day in 2014.
Clearly, the match hasn’t slipped out of the Portuguese manager’s memory.
Understandably, his post has angered a number of Liverpool fans.
Mourinho’s caption included the date of the game, and also the phrase ‘ball possession’ as he seemingly took pleasure in preventing Gerrard from having the ball back.
Ultimately, it was Manchester City’s victory instead of Mourinho’s.
His Chelsea side went on to finish third in the Premier League that season, two points behind Liverpool.

Anyway, now isn’t really the time for Mourinho to be mocking anyone.
He’s just been sacked by a Premier League club for the third time in a row, after losing his job at Chelsea, Manchester United and now Tottenham.
The former Real Madrid boss needs to do something differently if he is to take another managerial role in football.
His constant criticism of players is baffling, while the quality of his football has gone downhill compared to how it was in the prime of his career.

However, it’s his nature to wind people up, be cheeky, and antagonise.
His Instagram post doesn’t surprise us in the slightest.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about his upload…
