Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing what Fabrizio Romano said about Mikel Arteta on the Arsenal Lounge.

The respected journalist revealed that, after speaking to some at the Emirates, he discovered that the Gunners hierarchy are ‘so happy’ with the Spaniard.

Speaking on the Arsenal Lounge yesterday, Romano said: ‘I have been speaking with people around Arsenal & I always had the same feeling that there is no pressure or no risk for Arteta [to be sacked]. They are so happy with him’.

This is pleasing to hear, despite some supporters below expressing unhappiness with his comments.

In this day and age, clubs are too quick to sack their managers when things aren’t going well – you have to look at the bigger picture.

It seems like it’s almost been forgotten that this is actually Arteta’s first full season in management, so he deserves plenty of time.

Even more so after winning the FA Cup in his first campaign, despite stepping in to replace Unai Emery mid-season.

Things have been difficult at Arsenal even in the final few seasons under Arsene Wenger, and the same can be said under Emery.

Chopping and changing the manager every five minutes isn’t going to help the Gunners at all. What they need is stability, and backing Arteta is definitely the right call in that respect.

Let’s see how the Arsenal fans on Twitter reacted to Romano’s comments…
