Leeds United play their third pre-season friendly of the summer this evening.
Centre-back Liam Cooper and winger Hadi Sacko are both doubtful due to minor knocks they picked up against Guiseley on Saturday. Summer signing Mateusz Klich is also a doubt and Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen has explained why he will not be rushing the midfielder back at this early stage of his tenure.

“If we risk Klich now and he gets injured again, he will lose the whole of pre-season,” the Leeds boss told the YEP.
The report also states that recent addition Vurnon Anita should feature after sitting out Saturday’s clash, while latest edition Caleb Ekuban is unlikely to play so soon after putting pen to paper on a contract at Elland Road.
The forward signed from Italian side Chievo on Tuesday and he looks set for a watching brief as his new teammates attempt to make it three wins out of three since Christiansen took charge.
Of course these are only friendly matches against lower-league opposition, but if Leeds can build up a head of steam heading into the new Championship season, they should get some much needed early points on the board, building momentum in the process.
Leeds head to Austria at the end of the week and they will be hoping to have more new additions in place by then…as will their fans.
Leeds are in the midst of a new era and next season will be vital in keeping the positive feeling that has followed a summer of real progress at the club.
