Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left baffled by Jose Mourinho’s decision to take off Steven Bergwijn so early on last night.
Bergwijn was the first Tottenham player to be withdrawn by Mourinho, during their 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United.
The Dutchman had looked like one of Tottenham’s more promising players, as they crashed to a disappointing defeat at Bramall Lane.
However, Mourinho opted to take him off for Erik Lamela in the second-half.
And Tottenham supporters were left absolutely baffled by Mourinho’s decision.
Unfortunately for Spurs, Mourinho’s decision to take off Bergwijn didn’t have the desired impact.
Tottenham continued to struggle, as they fell to a frustrating loss in Yorkshire.
Whether Bergwijn will start in Tottenham’s next match against Everton on Monday now remains to be seen.
