Any hope that Juan Foyth had of playing a role for Tottenham Hotspur between now and the end of the season might’ve been dashed.
The Argentina international is very much a forgotten man at Tottenham and has been since Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino in November.
Foyth, an £8 million signing in 2017, hasn’t kicked a ball for Spurs this year in a Premier League game.
And if rumours are believed, that won’t change anytime soon.
According to TNT Sport, the 22-year-old defender is sidelined with a knee injury and the North Londoners are waiting to determine whether they need to operate on it or not.
Tottenham have had a ridiculous list of lengthy injuries to players this season, and although Foyth isn’t a huge part of Mourinho’s plans right now, Lilywhites fans are upset by the news nonetheless.
Here’s how they reacted to the report on Twitter:
Tottenham get their season back underway with a visit of Manchester United tomorrow.
