Joey Barton has been banned for 12 games at the start of next season by the FA for violent conduct for QPR against Manchester City. But should City have players charged too?

A twelve match ban for Joey Barton to me is sending out the right message to younger fans; that’s not how to play or act on a football field.
The QPR fans have mixed feeling about the Merseyside hard man; I thought it was silly signing him and I wanted him to prove me wrong.
Up until the Manchester City game he was doing just that. A moment of madness or whatever you call it, that’s what he’s been like his whole career.
So the FA used video evidence to prove him guilty of which they did. But what about the other players involved?

Tevez started the affray and yet nothing has happened to him; I’m not saying what Joey did was right but surely all parties should be punished?
Even the substitute, Mario Balotelli, came onto the pitch and nothing was mentioned.
Sometimes Joey Barton is his own worst enemy but he wasn’t the only one in the wrong in that game.
My feelings on the matter are I’d like him out of my club; be it sold or sacked I really don’t mind. QPR is a great family club with great family values and Mr Barton, with respect, hasn’t really got any of them.
The problem is his CV isn’t the best, so sacking him may be the only option.
Some hoops fans think he’s a God; I think he’s a thug in a football top.
