Millwall will make the trip to Elland Road on Saturday looking to put another nail in Leeds United’s hopes of winning the Championship title.

Millwall midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe has sent a warning to Leeds United as The Lions aim to repeat last season’s dramatic 4-3 win at Elland Road, in quotes reported by London News Online.

Leeds are due to welcome Millwall to West Yorkshire in the first game after the international break and Saturday’s clash promises to have huge implications at both ends of the Championship table.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side need a win after dropping out of the automatic promotion positions thanks a 1-0 home defeat to title rivals Sheffield United last time out while Millwall are just one point above the relegation zone.

It has been a difficult season for Neil Harris’ men but they can take heart from the fact that they beat Leeds away from home last year, Jed Wallace’s 92nd minute drive sealing a dramatic 4-3 win at Elland Road.

Tunnicliffe and co are certainly taking heart from that performance.

Jed Wallace of Millwall scores a goal which is disallowed during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Millwall at Elland Road on January 20, 2018 in Leeds, England.

“We were the better team when we played them at The Den this season and we all remember what happened when we last went there – we beat them 4-3 in an epic game,” said the former Manchester United youngster.

“We will be going there with a lot of confidence.”

Tunnicliffe has at least admitted that he’s been impressed with Leeds this season, with Bielsa’s side having spent most of the season in the top three.

“To be top of the tree from probably the first week of the season up until recently – when you consider how tough the division is – that takes some doing. They are a good team.”

Sitting a point behind Sheffield United and five behind a seemingly irrepressible Norwich City side, Leeds really cannot afford another defeat as they look to end their 15 year Premier League exile.
