The Newcastle United talent will miss the rest of the season.

Rolando Aarons will miss the rest of Newcastle United’s season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The 21-year-old had not kicked a ball for Newcastle since a League Cup win over Cheltenham back in August, but had just returned to training from that foot injury.
But the highly-rated winger has now been rocked by the news that he requires surgery for his ruptured knee and will likely miss the rest of the Magpies’ Championship campaign.
If there is one former Newcastle man who can sympathise it is defender Ryan Taylor, who missed 26 successive months with a couple of lengthy knee injuries.
And the 32-year-old – now with Port Vale – has tweeted his sympathies to the stricken Aarons.

Aarons is a fine talent but Rafael Benitez’s side are unlikely to feel the youngster’s absence that greatly.
United sit top of the Championship, with an eight-point cushion in the two automatic promotion spots ahead of their trip to Leeds United on Sunday.
