Ryan Taylor has posted a four-word claim on Twitter, as Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers completed their takeover of Newcastle.
The Premier League have announced the Saudi-led consortium have bought the Magpies. PIF overcome all legal disputes to pass the league’s Owners’ and Directors’ Test. Legally binding documents also declared the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will not control Newcastle.
Taylor spent six-years at St James’ Park as a player between 2009 and 2015 after joining from Wigan Athletic. He made 105 appearances in black-and-white throughout his time on Tyneside, while helping to their promotion out of the Championship in his first season.

The 37-year-old has maintained an affection for the Magpies ever since leaving the north-east outfit for Hull City. Taylor told Chronicle Live last year he hopes to return to Newcastle one day once his playing career is over.
“I have that connection,” he said. “I’ve moved back to Liverpool but in my mind, I’m not finished with Newcastle. I’d love to be up there in some capacity in years to come working with the next generation. When the time is right, we’ll see. One day in the future, I’d love to go back to the club in some way.”

Taylor tracking Newcastle takeover reports
Taylor has been keeping close tabs on developments at Newcastle right now, it seems, as reports of a takeover built. The former Magpies defender reacted on social media with a four-word verdict as the buyout neared.
Following claims by Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie that Mike Ashley had transferred his shares of the Toon to the PIF consortium, Taylor posted: “WOW! It’s actually happening.”
Reports by Sky Sports claim Ashley sold Newcastle to PIF, Staveley and the Reuben brothers for £300m. The sale ends the Sports Direct tycoon’s 14-years of ownership at St James’ Park. Newcastle will hope to mark the takeover with a first Premier League win next week.
