Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with two attackers at different stages of their careers.

Tottenham Hotspur have been continually linked with a move for Fulham ace Ryan Sessegnon.

The Sun report Spurs are trying to get him for £25 million, which would be a real bargain for a player of his potential.

One thing a move for Sessegnon would do, is kill off any lingering possibility Spurs would bring Gareth Bale back.

Bale’s situation at Real Madrid is somewhere between difficult and untenable.

Manager Zinedine Zidane is hoping to shift him, and Marca reported earlier this month that Tottenham had shown interest in a return.

The only way it would make any sense for Spurs to sanction this would be a loan, due to Bale’s wages, which could be financed by the £10 million fee just received for Vincent Janssen.

While Sessegnon can play at left-back, he would be better for Tottenham as a winger, free of defensive responsibilities.

It was his attacking threat which caught the eye in the Championship when at just 17, he scored 16 goals and provided eight assists.

Sessegnon was compared to Gareth Bale and there would be no need for both at Tottenham.

The case to bring back Bale is already tenuous, fraught with financial and fitness problems, as well as having little long term advantage.

Sessegnon is a star of the future who may even surprise people in the here and now. Spurs would be sensible to make him their priority.
