Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly keen on Fulham ace Ryan Sessegnon.

Fulham talent Ryan Sessegnon has told Sky Sports that he was focused on his career at Craven Cottage when Tottenham Hotspur allegedly made a move to sign him.
Sessesgnon, 18, has come up through the ranks with Fulham, and he has become one of English football’s top young talents during his time in the Cottagers first team.
The left winger – also capable of playing at left back – was highly rated enough after seven goals in 30 games during the 2016-17 season, but then hit 16 goals in 52 appearances last season as Fulham won promotion to the Premier League.
Heading to the top flight ensured that Sessegnon stayed with Fulham, but that didn’t prevent Tottenham Hotspur from continuing their pursuit of the teenage talent.
BBC Sport recently reported that Tottenham made a bid for Sessegnon this summer, proposing a deal in which Danny Rose would head to Fulham in exchange for the England Under-21 star.
No deal was struck between the two London clubs, but Tottenham’s long-term pursuit of Sessegnon doesn’t look set to end any time soon, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them return with a new move in 2019.
Now, after making his Premier League debut in Fulham’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday, Sessegnon has spoken to Sky Sports about his future, and maintained that he was focused solely on Fulham despite the rumours.

Sessegnon did though tackle the Spurs rumours head-on by admitting it’s flattering to be linked with a Champions League club, and couldn’t confirm that he was signing a new deal at Craven Cottage.
“You always see little bits and bobs when teams are linked with you, but I was always staying focused on playing for Fulham,” said Sessegnon. “That’s my main focus – just getting my head down and playing for Fulham.”
“Of course as a young player, when you get linked to these clubs playing Champions League football, it’s always flattering. I’m not aware of anything right now. I’m just playing and seeing how it goes,” he added when asked about a new contract.
