Tottenham Hotspur-owned Hoffenheim left-back Ryan Sessegnon has responded to Liverpool-owned winger Harvey Elliott’s post on Instagram following his appearance for Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Elliott, who joined Blackburn on loan from Premier League club Liverpool in the summer transfer window, was in action for Rovers in their Championship match against Coventry City away from home.

The 17-year-old winger started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Tony Mowbray’s side won 4-0.

The England Under-17 international played well for Rovers and scored for his loan club on 62 minutes.

According to WhoScored, the winger took two shots, played six key passes, had a pass accuracy of 85.1%, won two headers, took 66 touches, and put in one cross.

The teenager has taken to Instagram to revel in the win for Rovers, and Sessegnon has responded to his post.

The 20-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a winger, joined German club Hoffenheim on loan from Premier League side Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The England Under-21 international played with Elliott when they were at Fulham.

Elliott wrote on Instagram: “Unbelievable performance from the lads today. Also buzzing to get my first senior goal! 😁⚽️”
